The Location — Why Downtown Matters
Isla Mujeres is small — about 7 kilometers long and 650 meters wide at its broadest point. But where you stay still determines the experience you have.
La Sirenita is in Centro, the downtown core. From the front gate you can:
Walk to the ferry terminal in 3–5 minutes. This matters more than it sounds — if you’re day-tripping to Cancun, doing a whale shark tour, or taking an early ferry back to the mainland, proximity to the terminal saves you money on golf carts and removes logistical friction from every morning.
Walk to Playa Norte in 8–10 minutes. Playa Norte is the island’s main beach — calm water, shallow entry, the kind of Caribbean color that makes people understand why this island has a reputation.
Walk to the best restaurants without coordinating transport. The downtown restaurant scene is concentrated on and around Hidalgo Street. Being a 2-minute walk from dinner rather than a golf cart ride away changes how the evening feels.

The most requested room at La Sirenita and the most justified premium on the property. If you’re debating whether it’s worth an extra $35–$45/night versus the cheaper rooms, the answer is yes if you’re staying more than two nights and you care about morning light.
Room 4 — Island Breeze — from $85/night
Bright, airy, good cross-ventilation. Named well — it has a feel that’s lighter and more open than the other rooms. A strong mid-range choice.
Room 5 — Sunset View — from $75/night
Western orientation with good afternoon light. Same price as Room 2 but with a different character. Good for travelers who are out exploring during the day and back in the evening — the late light suits that rhythm.

The rooftop deck is the highlight of the property for most guests. It has an unobstructed 270-degree view of the Caribbean from an elevated position in downtown Isla Mujeres. There’s no bar service up there, no scheduled entertainment — just the view. Guests find it without being told to and it becomes the default end-of-evening spot for everyone staying.
Who La Sirenita Is For

Getting There
Fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN). Take a shuttle or taxi to the ferry terminal (Gran Puerto or Puerto Juárez — about 20–30 minutes depending on traffic). Take the 20-minute ferry to Isla Mujeres — ferries run regularly throughout the day. Walk 3–5 minutes to La Sirenita.
