RESERVATION POLICIES

La Sirenita has a two night minimum year around

You may reserve for one night, just contact us and we may be able to arrange that for you. 

La Sirenita Requires a 50% deposit for booking with the remainder due 30 days prior to your arrival.

Our booking system will run the final payment 30 days prior to your stay.

We only accept payment by credit card through our online reservation system

Our Reservation software utilizes Stripe .

An additional 21% Mexican room tax and local city tax will be added to the total rental amount.

This tax is levied by the city and state to all hotel rooms on Isla Mujeres.

All room rates are for double occupancy.

 No discounts for single occupancy.

Rooms 1, 2, and 4 have two beds and can accomodate 4 guests total for an additional fee.

An additional charge of $15 USD per person, per night is charged.

We are an Adult Oriented Hotel Boutique - Family and Children Policy

Families & Children Policy

La Sirenita Hotel Boutique welcomes families during our mid and low seasons, when the island is quieter and the pace is more relaxed. During these periods, we are happy to accommodate children and may waive the additional child fee at our discretion.

  • Mid-season: June 1 – August 30

  • Low season: September 1 – December 20

During our high season, and especially over the New Year holiday, La Sirenita transitions to an adults-only experience. This allows us to preserve a calm, intimate, and festive atmosphere that many guests seek during this very popular time of year.

If you’re unsure which season best fits your travel plans, we’re always happy to help you choose dates that will ensure the most enjoyable stay for everyone.

GROUP POLICY

Please contact us for group rentals.

We love to host groups, but our property is very small and noise travels well. For this reason we have a specific policy for large groups. Our hotel can accommmodate 16 people total. Please email us for any questions before booking. There are no roll-away beds available

CHECK-IN POLICY

Check-In Begins at 3pm

If your room is available earlier, you may have access to it.

Check-Out is 11am

Sometimes you will arrive early and that’s great. This is why we have you send us your flight info. Please contact our property manager before you arrive and we will help you make arrangements if your room is not ready.

Late Check-out can sometimes be arranged. Please let us know in advance.

We cannot always store your bags in the office for late departures, and will do our best to accommodate your schedule. You are welcome  to store them on our patio at your own risk.

reservation change policy

Email notice is required for reservation changes

NO PHONE CALLS. There is no charge for changes if space is available.

No refunds for late arrival or early check-out

We will do our best to accommodate your travel plan changes.

Changes can be made in cases of Force of Nature.

If a hurricane or other unforeseen circumstances make it necessary to interrupt or cancel hotel services to any extent, we will do our best to provide alternate dates or accommodations for current and confirmed guests at no charge, but no refunds will be given. Travel insurance is recommended to protect your investment in your trip and to protect you while you travel.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Email notice is required for reservation cancellations. No phone calls

– 60 days or more prior to arrival date: deposit can be refunded less a 5% service fee per room.

– 31 days or more prior to arrival date: deposit can be refunded less a 25% service fee per room.

– Less than 30 days prior to the arrival date: Full credit to be placed towards a future stay.

We are a very small boutique hotel with 5 rooms. If you cancel within the last 30 days of your reservation, the likelihood of rebooking your room is slim.  Please know, our goal is to give you full credit towards a future stay. 

You will not receive a refund for:

– bad wi-fi connection – we are located on an island in Mexico. You will not always have wi-fi. 

– off-property construction noise – we are located downtown. It can be noisy during the day. 

–other basic comfort issues outside of our control including, but not limited to, bad weather, the city turning off the water for maintenance, power outages, festivals in the town square, etc.. 

HOTEL INFORMATION/YOUR STAY/THE DETAILS

We do not have an onsite Manager

You will be provided with our property manager Juan Hernandez phone number. He lives on the island and is available if you need assistance.

We provide daily housekeeping

Except for Sundays, Christmas day and New Year’s day.

Housekeeping will tidy up your room everyday. To conserve water, your sheets will be changed on the 3rd day of your stay.

We are a 100% non-smoking hotel.

Rooms that have been smoked in will be charged a $250 USD cleaning fee. 

Please use the outdoor areas to smoke. For the benefit of future guests, this policy is strictly enforced. If you choose to smoke IN OUR ROOMS, you are choosing to be charged the cleaning fee.

Each part of our hotel requires the use of stairs.

Please note that our hotel is unfortunately not accessible to those with limited mobility.

The dipping pool is just that, a dipping pool

The dipping pool is the size of a large jacuzzi, if you want to do laps, this isn’t the pool for you. 

If you want to wash off after the day on the beach, we do have an outdoor shower.

Please respect the other guests and our neighbors by keeping your voices low when in the common areas.

Quiet time is between 9pm and 9am.

The Rooms and Grounds of La Sirenita are for REGISTERED GUESTS ONLY.

Unregistered guests in rooms, courtyard or rooftop terrace will be asked to leave immediately.  If you would like to gather a small group of friends to enjoy the rooftop terrace, please contact us prior to the event.

La Sirenita is for the independent traveler without need for 24 hour service who likes to have adventures and to come home to a clean, calm room at the end of a day.
