Getting here

How to Get Here (Easy, We Promise)

Start by flying into Cancún, Mexico — welcome to paradise in progress. From the airport, book a shuttle to the ferry terminal (we recommend CARM Transfers for a smooth, reliable ride with zero guesswork). Pro tip: when scheduling your shuttle, be sure to purchase your ferry tickets at the same time so everything lines up perfectly.

While waiting for CARM outside the airport, you may be tempted by the margarita stands nearby. Fair warning: they’re very tempting and very expensive — we’ve seen them run $25–$45 USD each, which you don’t always realize until it’s too late. The good news? You can arrange drinks with CARM in advance— even a cold beer for the ride — and save your splurge for the island instead.

The Ultramar Ferry runs frequently throughout the day (about every 30 minutes), making the 20-minute ride to Isla Mujeres easy and flexible. It’s quick, breezy, and officially the moment when island time kicks in. Grab a seat on the upper deck if you can — the views are worth it.

Once you arrive on Isla Mujeres, you’re almost there. La Sirenita Hotel Boutique is just a 3–5 minute walk from the ferry, right in the heart of downtown. No taxis needed, no complicated directions — just a short stroll and you’ve arrived. Drop your bags, head to the rooftop, and let the vacation begin.

La Sirenita is for the independent traveler without need for 24 hour service who likes to have adventures and to come home to a clean, calm room at the end of a day.
